Chandler Travis Three-O
Come enjoy a band who tailors each piece and performance to fit their utterly unique group dynamic, reaching across genres to create magic! The Chandler Travis Three-0 is bringing CLICK a performance featuring, “playful original songs that mix mind-bending wordplay with jazz, shimmering rock, and horn-fuelled R & B,” according to John Donohue, of the New Yorker.
During a moment of blazing musical serendipity Chandler Travis and the Three-0’s were formed, in 2009 when Candler had difficulty finding venues to suit his nine-piece Chandler Travis Philharmonic, he was approached about doing gigs at some small bars, only needing a couple other musicians. Those musicians turned out to be string bassist John Clark and saxophonist, keyboardist, and clarinetist extraordinaire Berke McKelvey. Both had played on Chandler’s recent solo album “After She Left”, and as it turns out were both very in tune with Chandler’s new ventures into a different musical scene. The Three-0’s released a few tracks in 2012, leading up to their debut album “This is What Bears Look Like Underwater” in 2013.
